A Cloudflare Error 1006 indicates that the website owner or Cloudflare’s security firewall has explicitly banned your IP address from accessing the website.
Common causes
A website administrator has created a Cloudflare security rule (in IP Access Rules or Web Application Firewall) that explicitly blocks your IP address from accessing the website.
Resolution
If you are a visitor
- Provide the website owner with a screenshot of the 1006 error page, including the Ray ID and your client IP address displayed at the bottom of the page.
- If you are on a VPN or public Wi-Fi, try disconnecting from the VPN or switching to mobile data, as VPN IP addresses are frequently shared with abusive actors.
If you are the website owner
- Search your Cloudflare dashboard under Security > WAF > Tools > IP Access Rules for the visitor’s IP address and remove the
Blockaction if the ban was unintentional. - Check Security > Events to review the specific firewall rule that triggered the block.
