There are a number of possible causes of error code 193 on a system. One of them has to do with a corrupted registry entry. The error may also be displayed when a user with no administrator privileges tries to log on to a terminal server client.

Sometimes a bad executable format message is displayed followed by the error code. In all these situations, different reasons are responsible for the error messages. In computing, executable files contain encoded instructions as opposed to containing data. These instructions commonly called bytecodes or scripts or binaries contain a designated file extension like .exe or .com, they are unique to specific operating systems. Thus while a file may be regarded as an executable in one operating system, it may not be I another.

Thus when troubleshooting error code 193, checking the file extension and seeing if it recognized by the operating as an executable binary file is the first step. If the operating recognizes the file extension as an executable, then the binary code may be corrupted or missing code. In such as case, the file may need to be replaced. On the other hand, an error code 193 may display the error message when the file extension has not been designated as executable in the system. Adding the file extension and making it executable may resolve the problem. In some cases, recompiling the file or application may be necessary to ensure errors are debugged and the operating system experiences no problems when executing the script.

In networked environments, an administrator my restrict access to certain local services that are normally accessible in a normal Windows login. This is due to security concerns or for administrative purposes. One of these services is the Explorer. This file manager application is used by user as a control interface where once can access file systems and make changes. Since the operating views the Explorer file manager application as an executable with a .exe extension, it is possible for the administrator to restrict access to it. When this utility has administrator restriction then error code 193 is displayed when a user tries to access or use its functions. The administrator will need to list it among the authorized applications to eliminate this error code. The application is located in the system root folder as explorer.exe. Once added as part of the applications that can be run by a user, any other 193 errors will be due to system files being corrupted.

Every time an account on a specific system drive lacks the permissions that are required, the error 1317 is encountered by the user on the Windows OS. This error occurs in certain applications like the Visual Studio 2005 or on the Visual Studio .NET application. The system account enables the Visual Studio 2005 and the Visual Studio .NET applications to be able to access that particular drive.

The primary IDE or Integrated Development Environment from Microsoft is the Microsoft Visual Studio, is used in the development of graphical user interfaces and console applications together with the website applications, Windows Forms, Web applications and Web services. This Windows error 1317 prevents a user from carrying out the installation of the Visual Studio 2005 and or Visual Studio .NET applications. This error comes about when the user is trying to generate a directory drive for this software. The errors in the system may most likely be caused by corrupt or outdated drivers and invalid entries in the registry. To resolve the error 1317, it is important to first make sure that the particular drive to where the Visual Studio .NET or the Visual Studio 2005 application is to be installed, is served by the System Account.

Users can ensure that this is the case by opening the Advanced Security Settings for the Local Disk, where there is a list for special permissions that need be accessed and edited so as to have the appropriate permission that is needed for this installation to be initiated. This error message can also be found in applications like the Adobe Acrobat installer, where the installer may return an error message that may read “Error ”1317: An error occurred while attempting to create the directory [path]…” when trying to install or use this application. The [path] option may display C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\ or it could also display a different specified path. When this occurs, it ideally means that the write access to that folder that is trying to be accessed by the user is inaccessible since the user does not have the required permission. The installations can only be carried out if the user is logged on as System or Administrator on Windows. The user however, may not have the permission to create folders or directories in certain directories. The solutions to this kind of problem, which affects the Adobe Acrobat Installer, vary and are dependant on the version of the Windows operating system that one is using.

Error Code 51330 is usually associated with the video game console Wii, manufactured by Nintendo. This 7th generation console is a primary competitor to the Sony Playstation 3 and the Microsoft’s Xbox 360. A distinguishing feature of Wii game console is its use of wireless technology.

It has a wireless Wii Remote controller that detects 3-D movements and a WiiConnect24 feature which enables the console to receive updates and messages while in the standby mode over the internet. This feature is made possible by use of a built-in 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi. Once a signal has been established the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection service starts to run enabling free online play with others who have compatible Wii games and Nintendo DS consoles.

The WiiConnect24 feature lets a player remain connected to the internet even when the game is not playing. While online gameplay titles are able to utilize both the WiiConnect24 and the Wi-Fi Connection, both services are unique and completely independent. Each Wii is also able to connect to another console using the same technology. In addition, third party devices like routers can also be used to provide an internet connection to the Wii. A self-generated wireless LAN can also be used to connect and communicate with other Wii systems for multiplayer.

Sometimes, the error code 51330 will show up if the WiiConnect24 fails to find an access point. Sometimes, a third party device like a router will find the access point only to display the error code 51330 when one inputs the password and tests the connection. The problem will usually persist despite changing the channels or unplugging and plugging back the router. The problem usually occurs in the security settings. Once the security (WEP) is turned on, the Wii may sometimes display the error code 51330. To resolve the issue, ensure that any router adjustments recently done especially the WEP and WAP keys are set back to defaults since these are the console’s online settings.

After this, try to adjust the broadcasting channel of the wireless router. Preferably, set it to either 1 or 11 since this increases download speed substantially. Log in to the router using the IP address designated as the default. Make sure the active key is in slot 1 and ensure the MAC filtering feature is enabled. Ensure also the router is broadcasting in b/g or in a mixed mode. Open IPConfig/all on the PC and enter appropriate settings. Turn off and then on the router to initialize the modem and the connection will resume.

Error code 643 is a message displayed on your computer’s Windows Vista once the user attempts a particular version of Microsoft on a system.

The steps followed in resolving this problem include: downloading the cleanup facility of your Windows installer on your computer then computer tool is run to assist in the removal of the existing installation out of the system. The user is recommended a cleaner tool from a reliable registry for removal and scanning of leftover files in the registry. He should then restart the system then proceed to download the most recent version. The last step would be downloading and installing for the system a new version.

ERROR_DS_VERSION_CHECK_FAILURE on Windows Vista usually takes place as a result of incorrect settings of HTTP proxy. For the user to get a resolution to this issue, he requires a clearance of the proxy settings that exist by performing these steps: Start menu, Run, then type cmd and Enter. View the settings of current proxy, type Proxycfg.exe at the Command Post, then Enter for the command to run. There are recommendations for users of the cleaner tool from the reliable registry like RegGenie for cleaning and scanning the registry in order to ensure that the registry problems do not cause problems within the DLL Windows update files. It is advisable for the Vista PC Window to be restarted and Windows should be updated once again.

When running a Vista Home version and at the same time avoid running a proxy server, an error was given by the command when implemented. Installs, re-installs and repairs as well as research on the internet may not be the key to a solution. A clean install being the first step, the partition is deleted and started again with a single file being created by windows. After getting a clean slate, the internet is the first to be disconnected. The user may decide not avoid downloading updates and opt to activate when online.

After completing the installation, the UAC was turned off, then rebooting, a straight activation of Vista by phone. This was followed by rebooting once again and Windows update was selected from the menu and it downloaded the updates that were applicable. The next step was to cautiously select a number of Vista updates rather than security updates then click on install. The selected Vista updates should henceforth install with no indication of error code 643.

Error codes help to identify hardware and software faults as well as incorrect user inputs. One of these errors is error code 126. This error is displayed when the system cannot locate some dynamic link library files at run time.

DLLs are executable files used by Microsoft in Windows operating systems. These files which act as shared libraries of functions are linked, compiled or stored separately from process that call them though they are not part of the function’s executable code. Multiple applications are able to access a DLL file in memory. Thus, these files facilitate resource data sharing among applications. The use of DLLs in systems allows memory saving, disk usage saving, reduced swapping, easy upgrades, support for Multilanguage programs and easy creation of international program versions.

ERROR_MOD_NOT_FOUND is also displayed when a currently running application does not have a specified machine’s PATH for the DLL which is needed to connect to a certain database. Since databases require the path the needed DLL file to be clearly defined when installing a client part of software, failure to make this configuration on the client side library will result in error code 126. Some of the applications that will show this error when this path is not defined are Microsoft Oracle Driver, WinSQL Oracle Driver and the Oracle ODBC Driver. A nested installation from the SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine MSI package will show up error 126. This error code is displayed when any of the modules in the MSI package is opened. To resolve the problem, merge the contents of the Desktop Engine using the Desktop Engine merge modules of the SQL Server 2000 version. Alternatively, open the setup package directly in the Desktop Engine rather than using the nested installation.

This error code will also show up when the Srvsvc.dll is found missing or corrupt during an application access. To resolve this error, one will need to go to the installation CD of Windows XP, locate the Srvsvc.dll file and copy it to the System32 folder located in the Windows folder of the C drive. After this, start the server service by typing Services.msc in the command prompt window. Error code 126 is usually caused by problems in the system registry and in the system files. Thus regular registry and system maintenance is essential. Keep the antivirus updated and use a registry cleaner to boost registry performance.

Error code 100 is usually a symptom of another error and not an indication of the error itself. It is described as a catch all error, meaning the system may not like or understands what has just been said, so an error code will result.

It is usually received by a device that is remote within an ISDN chain connection. This error is caused by a switch occurring error or one detected downstream of an orbitor. When the orbitor has not made any correct calls to date, an erroneous number may be the reason or the number being called is actually invalid. To contact the remote destination, verify the true ISDN number is being dialed.

When the orbitor logs on to a seemingly proper connection then disconnects with error code 100, the message is of no consequence and is a sign of the disconnection timing the switched network of the ISDN. It means that an error was logged during a call’s disconnection. Some reasons as to why this happens may be there might be a disconnection and termination at the ISDN call’s one end, while the other is propagating data still. Once this data is received at the disconnected end, it may generate error code 100. When trying to investigate the reasons behind the premature termination of the connection, the answer will be the target call’s premature disconnection. There are a number of reasons for this, but the two main ones are PPP NCP.LCP negotiations failure or Password verification failure. One can contact the destinations router’s administrator, at the same time review the profile of the orbitor’s Remote Site’s configuration, for errors that are glaring.

Various interface or line faults can result in faults in the teardown or setup, but more often then not this is not the cause when receiving the ERROR_TOO_MANY_SEMAPHORES message. Should the above fixes fail to bear fruit, contact the PTT or Telephone Company so they can diagnose the fault and look into which is the error prone component. They should be able to isolate the device in particular that is failing, through its causes, which would be performed on the interfaces and line.

This error typically goes unnoticed and is rather common. The most obvious would be a app server was forcibly shut down while there was a connection by a jolt client. It can also be caused by running short of sockets on a server; it is therefore advised that one checks their file descriptor numbers featuring ulimit.

In order for a user to be able to sight the error code 34 and any other errors as reported by the Device Manager together with the available resolutions the following steps are to be undertaken.

Access the control panel from the start button menu. Once in the control panel, double click on the System icon, followed by a single click on the Hardware tab, and then click on the Device Manager. Double click on a specific device type in order to see the devices available in the particular category. Otherwise, double click on a hardware device to establish its properties. In the case that an error code has been generated the code will appear in the Devise Status box on the General tab.

When the Device Manager generates ERROR_WRONG_DISK it simply means that Operating System (OS) such as Windows is not able to establish the settings for the particular device that is presenting the error code. At this point it would be the ideal time to check with the documentation that came along with the device at the time of purchase. The user would also be advised to utilize the resource tab so as to place the configuration. The advisable resolution in such a case would mean the user would have to resolve to manual configuration.

Another instance where the error code 34 can occur is when the firewall is made possible. This is a well documented concern with Norton Personal Firewall software. If the user is seeking to resolve this once it has been experienced by the system, they should undertake to disable the firewall after which repeat a download of the guide. In the case that this action does not change the circumstances and the same error code is still being generated by the Device Manager, the only option is to resolve to once again consult the guide set of connections. An error of this nature mainly applies to Windows Vista Ultimate and Windows Vista Home Premium.

Lastly, error code 34 can also denote that the Disk is filled to capacity. It normally come s about in the event where a user is attempting to save a file to a hard drive yet the disk does not contain sufficient space to store the information contained within the file. One should either erase or reassign the files on the disk. If not, then the next best reason for such an error is that the disk or hard drive is damaged and repair or replacement is required.

Error codes, which are used in computer programming are usually enumerated and tend to correspond to the errors found in certain software application.

The basic function of these error codes is to make identifications of software that might have faults or hardware that could be faulty as well. The errors also identify incorrect user inputs that are included in languages normally used for computer programming that do not come with exception handling. ERROR_READ_FAULT is one of the most common errors one will encounter as they work with different systems. The error comes about when DLL or memory that is injected changes OS’s regular API function. One of the causes of these errors could be the errors usually found in the registry. One way of dealing with these errors is to use a registry cleaner. Alternatively, the user can make use of a registry scan to get rid of the errors.

Some viruses which normally harm people’s computer systems can also cause the error code 30 and one should run an anti–virus scan to remove the viruses which could be the cause of the problem. After dealing with the registry and removing all the viruses, then use should then reboot their computer system. After the rebooting will then come the re-installing this will help to solve the problem. Another cause of the above error could be the client experiencing effects of programs within the system. One way of dealing with this problem is to close any of the programs that could be having any effects on the client.

Error code 30 can be caused as well by water at the bottom of the machine. It is recommended that the user tip their machine at an angle of sixty degrees to remove the water that could be causing the problem. Some users usually mount DOS Disks on their system when faced with this problem. One can try this on their system as well and if it fails to work they can make a post of the command they are making use of to mount. It is also advisable for the user to check the cables as poor cable connectivity can lead to error code 30. The write protect tab’s position matters as well and one should check that it is in the right position. Another cause of the error could lie in software updates. One should consult their quantum provider to help them with the issue concerning software.

Error code 23 normally appears in different circumstances which also determine how the error is displayed. However, the occurrence of this error follows a general pattern where it is associated with the malfunctioning of adaptors or delays in the starting of certain devices or applications on the system.

Corrective measures employed to correct the error must be in line with the particular circumstances surrounding its appearance.

One of the primary treasons of the appearance of ERROR_CRC is as a result of the a device being recorded as a main display adapter when in actual fact it is a minor display adapter which are usually described using the terms primary and secondary respectively. In such a situation one is informed that the display adapter is operating appropriately. The problem is attributed to the primary adapter with one being advised to check on Properties to view the primary adapter’s characteristics. In such a case one can solve the problem by pressing the properties button.

Error code 23 may also appear when the device is running on a minor display yet the major display adaptor is not being located by the system. One gets the same message as above and is advised that the problem lies with the main adapter. They are then told to fix the primary display adapter after which they should expect it work perfectly. However in the eventuality that the device does not have a display adapter qualities then one will be notified that the device is unable to load the device drivers required for its functioning. One is consequently expected to click on the Update Driver button so as to have the driver fully configured by the system. This is the most appropriate solution in such a case.

On a wider note, error code 23 is said to signal the delay by the device loader to start a certain device. It also fails to inform Windows the timing when the device is deemed ready to begin functioning. Most solutions to this error code can be arrived at by verifying settings for the main display adapter found in Display properties icon. One can also try to resolve the issue by the removal of this as well as the minor adapter for the Device Manager. This should be followed by a restart of the computer to enable Windows to register and configure these devices. This should also verify the existence of current drivers as well as their appropriate installment. Those devices not classified as display adapters, the recommended procedure should be adhered to failure to which one should delete and reinstall the device.

Error code 17 is displayed on ones system if hardware cannot get the appropriate drivers to function, and have tried checking them on the parent device’ files without success.

ERROR_NOT_SAME_DEVICE also indicates that the new hardware has multiple functions and that the .inf device files are providing unacceptable information to guide the hosting device on how to manage the new hardware devices’ resources. To resolve the error code 17, one should remove the hardware from the system and replace it and run the ‘add new hardware’ wizard.

The second reason for the error code 17 may be the fact that the hardware drivers are outdated. When this happens, the hardware is not recognized by the system and cannot work as desired until a new version of updated drivers is installed. The drivers can be obtained form relevant websites, but if the user cannot find them, he/she should contact the manufacturer for an updated version of the .inf files.

If this code is encountered during internet use, the error indicates that the MySQL server has encountered a problem while deleting a data base directory. It may also signify that the server was trying to create a temporary file that already exists in the systems alter table configuration. MySQL is a relational database common in web applications. The database has a component that executes commands based on the MySQL database. It also uses supporting and administration utility software to carry out instructions offered by the user. To rectify this problem, the user needs to check if the server has the permission to delete database directories.

To get rid of the error code 17, the user also needs to check if his/her directory ahs any files that are not created by MySQL server. If this is not the issue, the next step should be to browse the database directory noting any files that has A- and B- at the beginning. These files should be deleted. The error could also be because of a virus attack. System users who have no firewall installed in their system are more prone to malware and spyware attacks. If this is the case, the viruses may have altered device drivers or even one’s internet settings. To get rid of this error and ensure that the system is functioning optimally, and also increase the system’s stability, one should ensure that he/she has updated internet security and anti-virus software.
