ERROR_BAD_FORMAT

B Add comments

It is common for most computer users to encounter the error code 11 that comes up whenever they are installing. The error usually comes when the computer fails to respond as the installing is going on. This is usually a difficulty with windows.

If one is keen on solving this problem they should remove the adapter then re install it. Another cause of ERROR_BAD_FORMAT lies in the connection of trailing cables especially after incidents such as power failure. Some users often forget to connect the trailing power cable at both ends. One end of the trailing cable should go to the back while the other should end up on the print head. It is wise to check both ends of the cable as the connection points sometimes get damaged or bent. In the event that the connection does not make the computer work, one should buy a new cable to solve the problem as the one they are using could be spoilt. Apart from the trailing cable one should also make sure that any physical wires that could cause a problem are attended to.

Another way the user can deal with the error code 11 is to change the parameter settings that are in the advanced network. When the system fails on the “get VFD list”, an error that should be reported using H1 port belonging to Softing HSE/H1 device for linking, it can lead to this error. It is recommended that the user should try to connect to another H1 device, any can do. Having other H1 interface card such as PCMCIA-FBUS or PCI-FBUS/2 that cab be useful when the user is trying to connect to Smar devices. This will help them find out whether Smar devices encounter any problem in communications related to H1.

The position of carriages could also be the cause of the above error code. Pushing them to the right and then turning the device off and on again could help deal with the error. Users who encounter the error code 11 should also try accessing the Softing HSE device used for linking through its own web service. The problem could also lie with the hardware of the computer system of the user. If the user ascertains that the problem is with the hardware they are using, they should reset the hardware. Alternatively, the user can clear the hardware that is causing the problem.

This error could also be related to Winerror.h, more details on Microsoft’s website.
